Thriveanooga was an awesome experience. As for me only being a spouse to the youth minister, I got a ton of knowledge and friendship out of the week. I would recommend the week to every youth leader.

I cannot say enough about the tools and affirmation that I received while attending Thriveanooga. Every aspect was well thought out, useful and engaging. And it was so FUN!! I can't wait to be back.

Project YM has allowed me to grow in friendships and broaden my thoughts on what ministry really is. They collaborate with Catholic Youth Ministers and support us so we can realize our full potential.

Prior to THRIVEanooga I constantly had self doubt about wondered what I was doing and why God chose me for this misssion of Youth Ministry. THRIVEanooga was so welcoming from the moment i arrived. I was welcomed into my family color instantly. Throughout the week I gained so much knoweledge not only on ways to improve or enhance what I do but I also learned that I’m not alone in this field. We all have our own struggles and we all are already doing what is best. It was very reassuring and now I’m ready to press forward and take my youth to new heights.

Thriveanooga is absolutely the best youth ministry training event out there - period. It has a room full of knowledge from countless years of experience in the field, a whole lot of good clean fun and competition, and I can't imagine leaving a place feeling more loved and supported as a youth minister. Thrivanooga is the most fulfilling Youth Ministry Training I have had in decades. The integration of Experienced Youth Ministers and those who are new to ministry, have a chance to sit down in a room and hash out any ministry complications or problems together. The experienced Youth Ministers can give solid advice and the Newbies can also teach the experienced in many ways.

Thriveanooga is the first event I have attended in a long time where I felt valued, not only as a youth minister but as an individual person. The opportunity to collaborate with other youth ministers is priceless. ProjectYM doesn't just stand in front of us and tell us what we should or should not be doing in the world of youth ministry. Instead, they provide us with tools, ideas, and encouragement to dream and create the youth ministry that God is working in and through each one of us and our respective parishes, families, and teens.

Thriveanooga was a great week to get away, meet other youth ministers who are in the trenches with you and to learn different ways to improve your ministry! Thriveanooga is also a time to sit back, and enjoy the content and games, not lead them!

Thriveanooga restored in me the sense of joy and relationship that MUST be central to youth ministry!

I was very nervous to go to Thriveanooga because I didn't know anyone there. As soon as I met my team for the week I was put at ease. A great mix of prayer, fun and learning.

Thriveanooga is a wonderful mix of fun, tools for your tool box, community, prayer and reflection, liturgy and exercise! I look forward to the adventure that i call “ the best week of the year” every September! It’s just what i need to kickstart my year!

If I could give one piece of advice to every Catholic youth minister, I’d say to find a way to make it to Thriveanooga. The community, the worship, the learning, and the fun are unmatched. There’s no other event like this, and there’s no better way in my opinion to set yourself up for success in youth ministry.

Thriveanooga is a one of a kind experience where youth ministers collaborate with each other to develop innovative and creative strategies for serving and building up the young Church today. Since we are all doing ministry in an unprecedented time, there are no experts in the field of youth ministry. At Thriveanooga, we recognize and embrace change because we know that the things we have already been doing are not enough to bring teens to Christ today. ProjectYM also recognizes that the people serving the young Church matter and often go unseen and unheard. Thriveanooga pours love and recognition into those who are serving in the vineyard of youth ministry so they feel empowered and encouraged to keep doing such incredible work.

Youth ministry can be isolating, challenging, and discouraging. We have to remember that we are not alone! Thriveanooga brings us together and gives us a supportive community that prays with and for each other through our struggles and celebrations, and we find that we are not so alone after all.

So often we arrive home from a conference and slowly lose our new-gained "buzz", but Thriveanooga is different. The relationships and collaborations built this week shepherds our spiritual vitality and fuels our purpose for success. I am beyond blessed to be surrounded by a loving network of like-minded colleagues that are passionate about me and the countdown has begun for next year!

Thriveanooga gave me the spiritual, emotional, and practical boost I needed after feeling stagnant in my ministry. I gained implementable steps to take and met new friends who are already supporting me and I them.

It was an amazing week! The Joy, the dancing the laughing, the costumes... then the absolute reverence at Mass and adoration was POWERFUL.
